Sculptra®

ABOUT SCULPTRA

Sculptra Aesthetic® is a different kind of dermal filler that restores lost volume in the face and replaces the body’s natural collagen. Most dermal fillers deliver results that last up to six months, maybe a year. Sculptra Aesthetic® treatments involve a series of three injection sessions over a few months. This exciting new dermal filler delivers results that last for two years or longer.* Dr. Thomas Theocharides is pleased to offer this option to patients in the Monmouth County, NJ area. WHAT MAKES SCULPTRA AESTHETIC® DIFFERENT?

Sculptra Aesthetic® is different from other dermal for two primary reasons. The first being what Sculptra Aesthetic® is made up of. It is made from a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is safely absorbed by the body and is actually used in dissolvable stitches. The microparticles of PLLA work deep within the skin to replace lost collagen and reinforce its structure over time. The second reason Sculptra Aesthetic® is different is the way it’s delivered. Instead of being a one-time treatment, Sculptra Aesthetic® is delivered in a series of three or more injections over a few months. This delivery allows results to emerge subtly and extends the length of the results.
