Bellafill® is a FDA-approved, long lasting dermal filler comprised of collagen and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres. Dr. Theocharides will inject the collagen-based dermal filler and the microspheres will stay in place and create a base that provides structural support for smoother-looking skin. Unlike other types of fillers, Bellafill® replaces collagen in the face and restructures the skin to support long lasting, natural looking results. The immediate effects of Bellafill® come from the collagen, which is absorbed by the body over time. The polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres provide enduring wrinkle correction by creating a support matrix for the body’s natural collagen.

BELLAFILL®: HOW IT WORKS

Dr. Theocharides will inject the collagen-based dermal filler and the microspheres will stay in place and create a base that provides structural support for smoother-looking skin. The collagen gel immediately reduces the look of smile lines and wrinkles. The procedure will only take around 15-20 minutes and you can return to normal daily actives when you leave. Depending on the condition of your skin, you may need one to three treatments to achieve the desired results. BELLAFILL® FOR ACNE SCARS

Bellafill®is an FDA approved acne scar treatment that is totally safe and the results are long term. Dr. Theocharides will treat your acne scars in one office visit and the results will last up to a year. Bellafill® works by adding volume to the acne scar. Dr. Theocharides will inject the dermal filler into the scars which will add volume and the bring the scars to the level of the surrounding skin. The results are immediate that you can enjoy as soon as you leave the office. Hyaluronic acid fillers will dissolve in a few months but Bellafill® gives you lasting, natural results.

BELLAFILL® FAQS

  • How long will the results last?

    Bellafill is a very long lasting filler. The results have been shown to last at least five years. Some people even report being satisfied with the results after eight years.

  • What are the side effects?

    As with any injectables, there will be minor side effects. These include bleeding at the injection site, minor swelling and bruising and slight skin redness.

  • Is the procedure painful?

    Each syringe of Bellafill will contain a small amount of lidocaine which will help dull most of the pain associated with the injection. If you are concerned about the pain, Dr. Theocharides can apply some numbing cream before he begins injecting you.

  • How much does Bellafill cost?

    You can’t compare the cost of Bellafill injections to temporary dermal fillers. Even though there is a higher cost for Bellafill initially, it is actually cheaper for most patients in the long run because Bellafill results last up to 5 years, where most temporary fillers last 4 or 6 months.*

  • How is Bellafill different from other fillers?

    Most dermal fillers are made of materials that are broken down and absorbed by the body, therefore, they only deliver temporary results that usually need to be retouched within a few months. Bellafill has a two part system: first, enhanced collagen in the filler delivers immediate results and is gradually absorbed by the body; meanwhile, the PMMA microspheres are not absorbed by the body, supporting the skin’s needs for long lasting results.

  • Is it safe?

    Yes. Bellafill was FDA approved in 2006 and since its launch in 2007, tens of thousands of men and women have undergone Bellafill treatment.
