WHAT TO EXPECT

Volbella® is made up of a smooth, clear hyaluronic acid (HA) gel. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is a naturally occurring sugar found in the skin. HA is often used to prevent the effects of aging. Dr. Theocharides will perform this outpatient procedure in about 30 minutes using a very fine needle and syringe. Volbella® is formulated with a small amount of lidocaine, an anesthetic which will reduce pain and make you more comfortable during the treatment. If you are concerned about the pain, we can offer you some topical numbing cream about fifteen minutes before the procedure for your added comfort. After the treatment, Dr. Theocharides will supply you with post-care instructions and you will be able to return to your normal activities.

Dr. Theocharides is experienced in administering all types of dermal fillers and possesses the talent to create natural-looking lips. This is an important quality to have when using fillers to add volume to your lips. You do not want to get stuck with fake-looking lips, sometimes refereed to as ‘duck lips’.
