WHAT TYPES OF PELLET THERAPIES ARE AVAILABLE?
We offer both estrogen and testosterone pellet therapies. Following extensive lab work, Dr. Theocharides will provide the recommended dosage of the required hormone to help you regain your hormonal balance. Estrogen pellets are great for addressing hot flashes, low mood, menstrual migraines, poor bone density, and improving heart health. Testosterone pellets can be used to treat fatigue, muscle weakness, reduced sex drive, night sweats, or weight gain.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE?
During the procedure, a small incision is made in the upper buttocks and the hormone pellet is inserted. Once inserted, a small bandage will be placed over the incision site. Over time, this pellet will dissolve and distribute the hormone dosage inside of your body. Allow a few days for the incision site to heal, avoiding strenuous lower body workouts as well as swimming or soaking in a tub. Once the bandage is removed, you can resume all normal activities.
WHEN SHOULD I BEGIN SEEING RESULTS?
Your body’s response to hormone therapy will be unique to yourself depending on the dosage you receive. Some patients report improvements to their overall wellness in as little as four weeks and treatment is typically needed 2-3 times per year.
