Patients Talk About Sculptra Aesthetic®

What Is Sculptra Aesthetic?

Sculptra Aesthetic is a long lasting dermal filler made of a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is safely absorbed by the body and used in dissolvable stitches. The microparticles of PLLA work deep within the skin to replace lost collagen and reinforce it’s structure over time.

Sculptra is used to treat wrinkles and deep facial folds:

  • Between the nose and mouth (smile lines)
  • Framing the mouth (marionette lines)
  • Chin wrinkles

How Does Sculptra Aesthetic Work

The active ingredients in Sculptra Aesthetic are delivered deep in the skin to replace collagen deficiency and reinforce the skin’s structure. Typically three injection sessions are needed over a few months to deliver a gradual improvement in the appearance of wrinkles. Results generally last up to two years or longer.*

Scupltra Aesthetic is different from other types of injections and dermal fillers. Some use toxic substances to temporarily relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, while others use a substance to temporarily fill the space that causes wrinkles. Sculptra replaces collagen and improves the structure of the skin for longer lasting, more natural looking results.
